Establishment of a Personal Data Statement
Money Forward Group has established a Personal Data Statement as our commitment to utilizing our users' valuable personal data.
This Personal Data Statement declares Money Forward Group's philosophy regarding the handling of personal data. It applies to all data related to our users, not just personal information as defined by the Personal Information Protection Law.
Establishment of the Data Analytics Governance Committee
Money Forward Group has newly established the "Data Analytics Governance Committee" to ensure the safe and effective utilization of your valuable data and the latest AI technologies. This committee comprises a diverse group of experts, including our executives and specialists in security, legal affairs, technology, and data, who engage in continuous discussions.
Key Challenges the Committee Addresses

The Data Analytics Governance Committee continuously discusses these challenges, proposing and implementing concrete measures. Through these efforts, Money Forward Group is fully committed to realizing an environment where all users can confidently use our services. We will continue to prioritize the user's perspective, aiming to provide safe and highly reliable services.
Implementation of Standard Review Process
At Money Forward Group, when initiating new data or AI-driven initiatives, we have established a standard process for reviewing the data to be used and the purpose of its utilization. This process ensures that the data usage remains within the scope of the purposes defined in our privacy policy and terms of service, and that it respects user intentions from the perspective of "User Focus," one of our guiding principles.
Initial reviews are conducted by the designated review department. If a decision cannot be made at that level, the matter is escalated to the Data & Analytics Governance Committee for deliberation.
The outcomes of the department's reviews are regularly reported to the Committee, which in turn reports its activities to the President and the Board of Directors.
Additionally, the review process itself is subject to internal audits conducted by the Internal Audit Office.
※If any concerns are identified during the review process, the project owner is not permitted to proceed with the project. In such cases, the content or strategy of the business or service may need to be revised, or in some instances, the project may be canceled altogether.
Development of Generative AI Usage Guidelines
To ensure the safe and beneficial use of cutting-edge generative AI technologies, the Money Forward Group has established internal “Generative AI Usage Guidelines” and implemented robust frameworks for data protection and risk management. All data considered for use with generative AI is carefully assessed based on its level of sensitivity and is never submitted to external generative AI services unless their safety has been thoroughly verified. When initiating generative AI use, internal reviews are conducted as needed, and we require confirmation of the accuracy, rights, privacy considerations, and legal compliance of any generated content.
Through these measures, we aim to harness the potential of AI while delivering services that prioritize the safety and trust of our users.
Education and Awareness Programs
The Money Forward Group regularly conducts training sessions for all personnel—including employees, temporary staff, and contractors—to ensure they acquire essential knowledge in information security, personal data protection, and compliance. These training programs include reading materials, video lectures, and comprehension assessments.
