MoneyForward, Inc. has been awarded its first “AA” rating in the MSCI ESG Ratings, a global ESG investment index by Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI), Inc. that evaluates more than 8,500 global companies worldwide. The rating is based on an analysis of a company’s environmental, social, and governance initiatives and risk management capabilities, and is assigned a seven-point scale from AAA(leader) to CCC (laggard). Our progress in ESG initiatives and disclosures were evaluated, resulting to the upgrade from last year’s “A” rating.

■Our Effort toward Sustainability
Under the mission “Money Forward. Move your life forward.”, we support each and every individual through our services and businesses, to empower users by unlocking their possibilities and drastically enrich their everyday life. We have organized and set three key themes of materiality based on our two management foundations: “penetration of Money Forward’s Mission/Vision/Value/Culture”, “Governance that balances offense and defense”. Our three materiality consist of “User Forward”, “Society Forward”, and “Talent Forward”. In 2022, we set up the Sustainability Committee to bolster our efforts. In addition, we have been disclosing our sustainability initiatives through the corporate website, Integrated Report and ESG data book.
In this rating, we were highly evaluated for such efforts as strengthening our organizational structure, expanding programs for employees, and proactively working on information disclosure.
We are determined to actively promote further initiatives and disclosures to realize a society that we envision.
