Money Forward Launches “Women Engineers Mentoring Program” to Empower Early-Career Female Engineers
The Money Forward Group has launched the Women Engineers Mentoring Program (WEMP), a mentoring initiative designed specifically for early-career female engineers.
Under this program, experienced female employees of the Group serve as mentors to support new graduates, prospective hires, and interns in both technical mastery and career development. Mentors include a diverse group of employees, such as those who have navigated major life events like childbirth and parenting, career changers from different fields, and global members (whose native languages are not Japanese). Through 1-on-1 sessions with these experienced employees, WEMP provides technical guidance, support for organizational retention, and diverse perspectives to help participants chart their own unique career paths.
■ Background of the Program
The Money Forward Group has set “Talent Forward (Moving Employee Potential Forward)”*1 as a priority theme for sustainable growth. We are committed to fostering an environment and culture where members with diverse backgrounds and values can work with peace of mind, and to building systems that maximize their potential. While our engineering organization has become increasingly diverse in terms of nationality and other backgrounds, with global members accounting for over 50%*2, the representation of women in engineering positions remains low at 12.4% (as of November 2025). To address this, we aim to support the autonomous growth of early-career female engineers by fostering an internal community where they can easily seek advice. This initiative is designed to help female engineers, a minority in the field, find relatable role models and alleviate the anxiety regarding skill acquisition and career paths often felt during the early stages.
We will continue to promote an environment where employees from all backgrounds can maximize their potential, as we strive to realize our mission: “Money Forward. Move your life forward.”

■ Message from Summer Li, Head of Women Engineers Mentoring Program / Department Manager of Productivity Innovation Department, SMB Product Development Division

This program aims to build a community where early-career female engineers can grow as professionals from the early stages of their careers. I believe that joining the Money Forward Group should be more than just the end of a job search; it should be about finding a place where you can truly be yourself. I look forward to cultivating an environment together with our future members—a place where you can stay true to your uniqueness while boldly tackling challenges and continuing to grow.
