Through back-office SaaS offerings such as “Money Forward Cloud,” Money Forward is advancing the delivery of both AI-implemented and AI-native products designed from the ground up to maximize AI capabilities.*1
Beyond these services, Money Forward actively promotes internal AI integration, driving the development of an AI-native engineering organization and service development processes built on the premise of AI utilization.*2
Money Forward has established an environment where Cursor can be utilized not only by engineers, but by all roles involved in development—including Product Managers, designers, and Quality Assurance (QA) engineers. This has led to productivity improvements across every stage of the software development lifecycle, and the creation of an AI-native organization that transcends traditional functional boundaries.
In recognition of these achievements, Money Forward was selected as the first Japanese company for the official Cursor Advanced Case Study.
Money Forward will continue to build an AI-native development organization, aiming to maximize value for users through high-quality and rapid service development.

■ Key Outcomes of Money Forward’s Cursor Implementation
・Hours saved per engineer:15 to 20 hours per week*3
By utilizing Cursor for tasks such as analyzing complex existing code, refactoring (improving and organizing internal code structure), and building infrastructure, engineers saved 15 to 20 hours per week. This allows them to focus on high-value-added tasks, including design and performance optimization.
*3 Calculated based on survey results of employees using Cursor (conducted in January 2026).
・Significant gains in QA efficiency: 70% reduction in test case generation time
Leveraging Cursor to automatically generate test cases from specifications and implement test scripts reduced test case generation time by 70%. As a result, by focusing on risk-based testing to prioritize critical components, the QA team was able to adopt a “shift-left” approach—moving quality assurance activities to the early stages of the software development lifecycle.
・Improved precision and velocity of planning and requirements definition by Product Managers
The introduction of Cursor into product management operations has enabled them to grasp specifications directly from source code, generate architecture diagrams, and draft detailed Product Requirements Documents (PRDs). This allows for proactively identifying and resolving potential issues and technical constraints, resulting in a smoother development flow.
・Designers empowered to directly understand and verify code
As a result of establishing a system where designers utilize Cursor for code-based prototyping, they can now personally experience product behaviors—which they previously understood only through engineer explanations—and design based on that firsthand experience.
