Money Forward, Inc. is launching the AI Agent “Entertainment Expense Reimbursement Agent” for select users on its expense management system, “Money Forward Cloud Expense.” This feature allows users to create expense detail data from receipts uploaded to Slack.

The “Entertainment Expense Reimbursement Agent” allows users to simply upload images of receipts for entertainment and other expenses* on Slack, enabling AI to automatically analyze the content and create expense detail data. The AI infers the appropriate expense categories and verifies any undetermined items with the user through a conversational format on Slack, ensuring users can proceed with expense reimbursement without confusion. By completing the entire process within Slack, employees can process entertainment expense reimbursement without logging into “Money Forward Cloud Expense,” significantly boosting operational efficiency and reducing their administrative burden.

Money Forward plans to expand supported chat platforms and accommodate a wider range of expense categories beyond entertainment expenses, accelerating AI-driven automation across its expense operations. The company will also gradually roll out the service to a larger user base.

*While currently focused on processing receipts for entertainment expenses, the service will expand to support a wider range of expense categories in the future.

1. Completes entertainment expense reimbursement on Slack
Simply upload receipt images to Slack, and the AI will automatically analyze the images, extracting data such as amounts and dates.

2. AI automatically infers and inputs expense categories and participant information for entertainment expenses
The AI inputs the inferred expense categories. For entertainment expenses, it also automatically analyzes information from calendar applications and inputs participant details.

3. Supplements missing information through Slack’s conversational format
The agent engages users in a conversational format to verify items the AI cannot determine, such as project codes. All input is completed on Slack, significantly reducing the hassle of expense reimbursement.
