Rebranding to “Money Forward Cloud Attendance Plus” Around April 2026 and Strengthening HR Solutions in the Mid-Market and Enterprise Domains

Money Forward, Inc. has announced its decision to acquire the cloud-based attendance management system business “AKASHI,” currently operated by Sony Biz Networks Corporation (SBN), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sony Network Communications Inc., through an absorption-type company split. We concluded a contract regarding this business succession and plan to execute the absorption-type company split on March 31, 2026.
With this succession, the business will be rebranded as “Money Forward Cloud Attendance Plus” around April 2026, strengthening our product lineup for mid-market and enterprise companies. At the same time, through a partnership with SBN, which has strengths in the IT infrastructure domain, we will mutually leverage both companies’ customer bases.

Under the mission of “Business forward. Life forward.,” our suite of back-office SaaS solutions, “Money Forward Cloud,” is transforming business operations. We have also been enhancing compatibility between our services through initiatives such as API integration with SBN’s “AKASHI” system.

“AKASHI,” provided by SBN, is a time and attendance management service featuring advanced management functions that can flexibly accommodate diverse work styles and complex employment regulations. As back-office digitalization accelerates, it has earned high praise as a product that captures the needs of mid-sized and enterprise companies requiring highly precise configuration and operability.

In our HR domain, the “AKASHI” business—which has a strong track record in the mid-sized and enterprise segments—joins the Group, complementing our existing “Money Forward Cloud Attendance” offering. This enables us to provide optimal solutions tailored to the needs of customers of all sizes, from startups to large enterprises.

■ Future Outlook
Targeting April 2026, we plan to rebrand “AKASHI” to “Money Forward Cloud Attendance Plus.” To ensure even greater convenience for our users, we will enable “AKASHI” to support Money Forward ID and integrate and strengthen our marketing and development structures with our existing products.

Furthermore, we will establish a partnership with SBN, combining their strengths in services for information systems departments, such as “NURO Biz,” with our expertise in back-office SaaS for accounting, finance, and HR departments. This partnership will provide comprehensive support for businesses, covering everything from infrastructure to business systems. Through this collaboration leveraging the customer bases of both companies, we will provide total support for further improving the efficiency of corporate management.
