Pre-registration begins today for new service featuring AI coworkers that execute tasks on behalf of users

Money Forward, Inc. will launch “Money Forward AI Cowork,” a new service where AI autonomously executes back-office tasks through natural language dialogue, starting in July 2026. Moving beyond conventional task support, the AI acts as a “Coworker” to autonomously handle a wide range of operations, including accounting, HR, and legal affairs.

This AI service will be offered as part of the “Money Forward Cloud” service lineup. It is specialized for back-office operations and features standard integration with “Money Forward Cloud” products. The service is accessible even to those without specialized knowledge, as it eliminates the need for users to implement, operate, or maintain a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server. Furthermore, users can experience autonomous back-office operations through “Money Forward AI Cowork” alone, without the need to subscribe to any other AI services.

■ Key Features of “Money Forward AI Cowork”
・Task completion through multi-agent collaboration via natural language
The AI intelligently interprets user intent, even with vague instructions such as “Process all of this month’s accounting tasks.” Multiple AI agents — covering invoice issuance, payment requests, reconciliation, and cash flow forecasting — collaborate in parallel and autonomously to drive tasks to completion. Users can also select which AI agents they wish to use.

・Open design for optimal AI agent-driven operations
In addition to “Money Forward AI Agent” developed and provided by the Company, users can combine AI agents from development partners and their own “My Agents.” An orchestrator agent understands intent from user instructions and distributes tasks among multiple AI agents.

・UX optimized for business use
The service employs a UX designed to maximize operational efficiency, such as allowing users to instantly start routine tasks by selecting them from an “Agent List.” It also includes push notifications where AI agents suggest “Tasks to do now” and an AI helpdesk function that provides answers based on internal knowledge.

・Enterprise-grade governance functions
The service features “guardrail functions” to ensure the AI always operates according to established internal rules. Featuring a “Draft & Approve” process where humans review and approve AI-generated drafts, along with AI audit logs, the service establishes a governance structure that mid-market and enterprise companies can implement with confidence.

・Advanced integration with “Money Forward Cloud”
The service enables data retrieval and updates across various “Money Forward Cloud” products. Without complex initial setups like MCP servers, users can immediately begin autonomizing a broad range of tasks, including accounting (invoicing, accounts payable, expense reimbursement, journal entries), HR (onboarding/offboarding, attendance, payroll, tax adjustment), and legal affairs.

・Cutting-edge technical foundation capable of handling advanced instructions
By incorporating Anthropic’s “Claude Agent SDK” and “Claude API,” the service delivers operational quality that responds to advanced instructions. Furthermore, utilizing MCP enables efficient integration with external tools and data. This allows users to smoothly utilize advanced AI functions without specialized settings or complex preparation.^*1

■ Background
The Company has been supporting back-office operations by providing SaaS and integrating AI functions into SaaS. However, SaaS has ultimately been a tool to help users perform tasks more efficiently, with humans remaining the primary operators. Meanwhile, Japan’s working-age population is projected to decrease by approximately 2.34 million by 2030^*², which is expected to lead to a serious labor shortage in the field. Therefore, the Company decided to launch “Money Forward AI Cowork” based on the belief that it is necessary to liberate operations from manual effort. The goal is to shift from the conventional experience of “humans performing tasks using SaaS and AI” to an experience of “letting the AI handle and complete the work.”
